Core Strengthening Yoga, Instructor: Amy
Yoga instructor Amy Hagerstrom teaches a type of yoga which centers on core strengthening, on breath, and on getting you into your body. This type of yoga is very therapeutic and invigorating. We’ll be practicing static poses in a slow flow.
Hatha Yoga, Instructor: Adriana, E-RYT
Hatha yoga refers to the physical yoga poses or postures which balance the body and mind, balance the right and left sides of the body, and balance effort and relaxation. By focusing on skeletal alignment to correct posture problems and misalignments caused by slouching, sports, and computer use, this practice can relieve pain and create greater range of motion while also increasing strength, flexibility, stability, and allowing for deeper breathing. [This class will be periodically offered as Community Yoga, a class that is free to the public. Bring a friend!]
Restorative Yoga, Instructor: Adriana, E-RYT
Learn to de-stress through this restful practice of floor poses, breath work, and stillness. Reduce tension, allow ease of movement, and restore your mind and body to a more relaxed state. We will use yoga props to support each pose, and will rest in each pose for several minutes. You may be most comfortable wearing warmer clothing such as long sleeves, long pants, and socks during this deeply relaxing practice. Only 8 spaces available for each class.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Instructor: Cindy
Vinyasa means linking the hatha yoga poses or postures to the breath, a flowing sequence that moves from one posture into the next with an inhalation or exhalation. This practice will focus on slowly building heat in the body by sustaining breath with each asana (posture). This practice can increase strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.
